The prompt for this week is MINIMALIST. Just to be sure of my understanding of this word I looked up the definition as well as a few artists and checked out their work. I was inspired by an artist named Agnes Martin. My first image is of a woman sitting by a pond. I think she may have been feeding the ducks. My shot is through the metal fence. I then added some telephone wires and one of Bonnie’s textures called bleu en bleu. Again what I do is always experimental..but am getting there..lol!
Woman With No Regrets
Birds on a Wire
I really like the simplicity of this one and I used the texture Old Ornate Swirls.

Wow, that’s an amazing edit. Until I read your description I thought the first one was a glass office tower! Love the processing on the Birds On A Wire one too. Do you know the Leonard Cohen song (written by Jennifer Warnes I think) called “Bird On A Wire”? Beautiful. ” … like a bird on a wire … I have tried, in my way, to be free.”
Love the second one, that is truly beautiful and minimalist
When I was very young, I used to look out the window to the phone wires across the street. I would tell myself if one more bird landed on the wire by the time I counted to ten, a certain young boy would call me. The bird might or might not land, but i got minimal results.
. The things we do when we’re young…
Your picture brought back some fond memories. Thanks.
So glad you described the process for your first photo. That was very creative use of an unusual perspective. Glad you decided to work on this particular image and post it. Of course always love birdies….sitting high…viewing the crazy world beneath their feet. Thank you for dropping by my post, also. smiles; sharon
oh I so enJOY this little adventure, Roberta!! you have remarkable vision!!
love the birds piece!
Great edits. Is the woman reflected in the windows of an office building? – Birds on a wire is lovely.
I like your edits, especially the second one.
Wonderful pics with true solitude feeling!
These are wonderful!
